The letters ofㅅ ㅏ ㅇ ㅁ ㅕ ㅇ take the form and visualize the image of Pangakchae, close to the classical penmanship style at the time of the creation of Hunminjeongeum, and, thus, express the will of King Sejong for the enlightenment of the people.
In terms of formation, it abstracts the creation principle of universal nature, which is the principle of Tageuk.

2 columns ofㅅ ㅏ ㅇ ㅁ ㅕ ㅇ indicate Yin and Yang, while 3 rows of it mean Heaven-Earth-Human and Truth-Goodness-Beuty. The square(the ceiling form of Kokuryo Mural Paintings) surrounding it mean geon, gon, gaam, and yi, the four gods of cardinal points.
Also meaning Cheonjimyungwol and four gods of cardinal points, it originates from the creative universe vision of Sangmyung.
